Service robots perform services for or together with people in industrial and commercial applications as well as in private life. Service robots increase flexibility and adaptability, resulting in new types of socio-technical systems. The linking of service robot technology with application fields such as intra-logistics, agriculture or industrial production is increasingly becoming an interesting focus area.
The Service Robotics research group focuses on methods, algorithms and model-driven software tools for realizing flexible and collaborative service-robot systems for everyday use. The useful integration of service robots into wider application contexts (e.g. Industry 4.0, intra-logistics, agriculture) is always in the foreground. The approaches are evaluated in real-world scenarios.
