If you are unable to take up your study place, or are removed from the register of students within one month from the start of lectures, you can apply (PDF in German) to have the course fees, the THU administration costs and the fees for the Ulm Students' Council (VS) refunded.
You will need to make a separate application to get a refund for the Students' Union fee (Studierendenwerksbeitrag). Find out more from the Studierendenwerk (Students' Union) website. You will need to use the appropriate form to apply for your refund (Rückerstattung).
Please note: The one-off service payment and any fines cannot be refunded.
