Medicine has undergone a huge transformation.Information and communication systems evolve, clinical studies for developing improved medication or treatments need to be planned and implemented, national and international standards change. All this requires the integration of medicine, documentation and computer science.Qualified specialists are needed who are able to usefully apply the rapidly-developing possibilities of computer science.
With its interdisciplinary focus, the degree programme Data Science in Medicine (DSM) – which can be completed in seven semesters – pursues precisely this objective.Alongside a grounding in mathematics and statistics, the course educates students in the three fields of medicine, documentation and computer science.Up-to-date and practically-relevant training is guaranteed, thanks to close cooperation with the many hospitals and pharmaceutical companies in the Ulm region.
You can also take this degree programme with in-depth practical experience.
