Admission prerequisites

As there is no limit to the study places available on the Bachelor's degree program CSE (no numerus clausus), there is no application and admissions procedure for this course. If you have a general qualification for university entrance or a comparable qualification, you will definitely be awarded a place on the course.

If you do not have a general qualification for university entrance or a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification, you may also be admitted to a Bachelor's degree program if you have vocational qualifications. Those with vocational qualifications – who have successfully completed a master craftsman's diploma or vocational training equivalent to a master craftsman's diploma and can present written evidence of an application interview at a university – have direct access to all university degree programs.Similarly, those with vocational qualifications with at least two years' vocational training can apply for subject-specific higher education access if they pass a suitability assessment.

The Delta Test (Deltaprüfung) enables those holding an entrance qualification for a university of applied sciences or a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification to access Bachelor’s degree programs which were previously excluded due to the subject-specific nature of the school higher education entrance qualification certificate.
