As well as numerous test rigs (including a wind tunnel), we use a variety of software packages to conduct 3D simulations in flow mechanics and structural mechanics (crash and occupant simulation). We also look at problems concerning multi-body simulation and thermodynamic cycle simulation.
The Institute of Computer Science also considers automated safety and reliability analysis of vehicles, in particular by developing our own modeling language.
