An overview of your apprenticeship at THU:
- Apprenticeship start: September 1 (or the first working day of September)
- Apprenticeship duration: 3 years (with the option to shorten)
- Working hours: 39.5 hours per week (with flexi-time)
- Vacation: 30 days per year
- Remuneration: The current apprenticeship salary for each year of training in the public sector (independent of the apprenticeship selected) according to the collective wage agreement regulations for apprentices in public sector employment (TVA-L BBiG) is as follows:
First year of training: 1,236.82 €
Second year of training: 1,290.96 €
Third year of training: 1,340.61 €
We offer you:
- A contribution of 25 € towards the “Deutschlandticket”, so you can travel in comfort – both to work and in your free time.
- Books and learning materials to help you prepare for your exams, which we provide for you in our library.

- A daily changing menu (vegetarian / vegan) in our mensas and cafeterias.

- A bonus of 400 € when you complete your apprenticeship successfully.

Kauffrau*mann für Büromanagement (w/m/d) (Office Administrator)
Do you want to get to know the diverse tasks carried out by the university administration? During your apprenticeship, you will spend time in various departments at THU, for example, supporting us in Student Services, performing tasks in human resources, in event management and in the finance department. Thanks to your varied training plan, you will acquire a comprehensive understanding of the processes involved, and will always be at the heart of administrative tasks and organizing events.
Prerequisites: Secondary school certificate
Your Technical College: Friedrich-List-Schule Ulm (weekly lessons, no block teaching)
Fachinformatiker*in für Systemintegration (w/m/d) (IT Specialist for System Integration)
Do you enjoy finding solutions for IT challenges? Are you interested in understanding the IT infrastructure of a university? Then this is exactly the right apprenticeship for you. In the Center for Information Infrastructure and Media and the Institute of Computer Science, you will get to know the world of IT at Ulm University of Applied Sciences and help ensure our IT equipment and systems run smoothly.
Prerequisites: Secondary school certificate, General qualification for university entrance or entrance qualification for a university of applied sciences
Your Technical College: Robert-Bosch-Schule Ulm (weekly lessons, no block teaching)
Mediengestalter*in in Digital und Print (w/m/d) (Media Designer Digital and Print)
This apprenticeship combines creativity with technical knowledge. You will complete your apprenticeship mainly as part of the Digital Media degree program. You will learn to use modern tools and get to know important processes, working closely with our media partners.
After completing your apprenticeship successfully, you have the option of extending your knowledge with the Digital Media degree program (In German).
Prerequisite: General qualification for university entrance or entrance qualification for a university of applied sciences
